MoonCow Tabs Mobile FAQ

It is a Safari extension for iPhone and iPad. Open it from Safari to search the tabs in your current tab group, jump to one, or close the ones you no longer need.

The app on your Home Screen is the setup screen. The tab list itself lives in Safari.

iPhone and iPad, iOS 17 or later, Safari only. It does not list Chrome or other browsers, and it is not the Mac app.

For Safari and Chrome tabs on a Mac, use MoonCow Tabs.

1. Install MoonCow Tabs Mobile, then open the app.
2. In Safari, go to Extensions and turn on MoonCow Tabs.
3. Choose Allow for All Websites so it can open whenever you need it. Tab data stays on your device.
4. In Safari, tap More, then Extensions, then MoonCow Tabs.

The app shows whether the extension is enabled. On newer iOS versions it can also open the Safari extension settings for you.

The tabs Safari exposes for the current window — the tab group you are in. It does not claim to know Safari’s tab-group name, and it does not list every group on the device at once.

No. There is no account. Titles and addresses stay on your iPhone or iPad so the list, search, and undo can work. MoonCow Interactive does not receive them.

The extension does not include analytics or crash reporting. See MoonCow Tabs Mobile privacy.

Yes. The undo list keeps your last 10 close operations on the device and can open those addresses again. Duplicate cleanup keeps the newest tab for each matching address. The focused Safari tab is not closed when you clean up a site, a search, or duplicates.

MoonCow Tabs is the Mac app. It searches open Safari and Chrome tabs and opens with a keyboard shortcut.

MoonCow Tabs Mobile is a separate iPhone and iPad app. It runs inside Safari and only covers the current tab group. The two apps do not share a tab list.
